This tutorial is for all phones LG GT540 (including Telcel) to install Android 2.3.4 CyanogenMod 7 and changed to LG GT540 (by SwiftDroid Project by Mur4ik).
Also we will overclock the processor to 845 Mhz and activate Swap with 600 additional mb of virtual memory. During the time I've used this ROM I had no problem whatsoever, everything works perfect and fast.

What we need?

+ RECOMMEND THAT FORMATEN YOUR SD CARD TO COME CLEAN WITH THE NEW VERSION AND NOT BE PROBLEMS.

+ DISABLE YOUR ANTIVIRUS PROTECTION SINCE MAY THAT THE ANTIVIRUS IT DETECTED AS VIRUS AND CAN MARK ANY ERROR AND BLOCK THE PROCESS, BUT IS NOT A VIRUS. ALL THE FILES ARE CLEAN.

+ Download KDZ Updater. (Includes KDZ Updater and RomFastboot)

+ Download Android 2.3.4

+ Swapper and SetCPU.

+ DO NOT NEED TO BE ROOT TO DO THE TUTORIAL.

Instructions:
1 - During the installation will clear all your data (contacts, logs, applications and database applications), but you want to lose the information you should make a backup using the MyBackup Pro application

2 - In order to install Android 2.3.4, you first must have a rom with fastboot installed on the phone. If your phone already has a rom with fastboot skip to step 11.

3 Install msxml.

4-Then install the necessary drivers for your GT540 is recognized, for this install LGAndroidDriver_WHQL_ML_Ver1.0_All_Win7-Vista(Tambien_puede_ser_funcional_en_XP) or if you prefer to install the drivers manually descarguenlos here - > provided by jaret(Archivos). FOR those who use WINDOWS XP must download this:, you unzip and das right click the file android_usb and click on "Install".

5. Open KDZ_FW_UPD. Change "type" to "3GQCT" and "PhoneMode" to "diag". Click on the button of the doily, select the file romfastboot.kdz that comes in the KDZ folder and click Open.

6. On your phone active the debug USB settings > applications > development > enables debugging USB

7 Connect the cable to your phone and the PC, and expects to be recognized by the drivers.
* Note: When connect the phone only connects and already, do not activate mass storage.

8. Now, click on "Launch software update", not UTILICES the PC up to the process is Hague completed. THE PHONE WILL RESTART WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED THE PROCESS. (The process takes approximately 15 minutes).

9 - Once finished the process, we have the rom with fastboot installed.

10 - DISCONNECT THE PHONE FROM THE PC.

11 Still activate the Fastboot mode in your phone. Turn off your phone, once power off press the camera button and the power at the same time, those you don't snap the Fastboot mode is activated, you will notice that it activated already when displayed nothing on screen only stay with the backlight turned on.

12 CONNECTS THE PHONE TO THE PC. Now follows the installation of ANDROID GINGERBREAD 2.3.4. Open Android234GT540 and follow the steps of the installation. (DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE UNTIL THE PROCESS HAS BEEN COMPLETED)

13 ALREADY YOU HAVE INSTALLED ANDROID GINGERBREAD 2.3.4. The first home takes more time, that's normal. (Default language is Russian, is what you can change settings, easily recognizing language settings icon).

14 - SOME USERS HAVE TOLD ME YOU DO NOT FIND THE MARKET IN THE APP LIST. FOR that APARESCA VAYAN A LA next path in ROOT EXPLORER /system/app/and BUSCASN an APP that says "vending", SOLO LO ABREN Y LO INSTALAN, then REINICIEN and YA.

Now that the phone go very fast in this version I recommend you do the following.

1 You need to install Swapper.apk and SetCPU.apk applications. You spend two applications to the SD card, and those looking for in your phone browser you have (eg.) (RootExplorer) and install them.

2. Now follows the creation of the swap, this is like a virtual memory that we will make the phone run faster, thanks to this we are going to be able to open games in HD may not play in a LG GT540, Asphalt 5, Assassin's Creed, Tom Clancy's HAWX, NOVA, etc. Need minimum on your SD card to a space of 1.3GB why? Because setting up a swap of 600 MB file and to run this swap with the Swapper is needed additional 600 MB of free space of card (600 MB + 600 MB = 1. 3 GB). I have the swap to 800 MB because I have a 8 GB SD card and I have lots of free space.(In my case I need 800 MB + 800 MB free on the SD card memory)

3 - To create and activate swap, open Swapper, enable "Active Swap on Boot" and "Swap File Size (in MB)" write 600. And you press "save". During this process may appear A SUPERUSER of window, click "Allow" so that the application has ROOT access to the phone and work well. Establishment of the swap, this hard process some minutes, while the swap is creating don't let you turn off the screen because the process may lock.

4. The creation of the swap ends when the creation screen closes automatically, now checks if the 600 MB swap file was created, go to your browser file (Root Explorer) and in your SD card you are looking for a file called swap.swp and verifies that it is 600 MB. If there is one file wants to say that it was created correctly, if it does not exist then try again. (Usually always good creates the file, it is usually not created when you do not have enough space on the SD card)

5 Now activate the swap file, again open Swapper, disables the option "activate Swap on Boot" and click "save", the application is closed automatically, back open Swapper and enable the option "activate Swap on Boot", click "save" and appears an "enabling swap", that is to say that is is activating when you close would be completely activated swap.

6 - To verify, open SetCPU, open choose "Autodetect Speeds Recommended", during this process you can QUE APAREZCA A window of SUPERUSER, click "Allow" for the implementation have ROOT access to the phone and run well. Go to the "info" tab at the bottom where it says "swaptotal" should indicate the amount of swap that activate.

7. Now we overclock to 825 Mhz, in the SetCPU application in the main tab (main), you boring the slider of "Max" up to 825 Mhz, disables the option below "Set on Boot" and ready.

Recommendations:

* Each time that you connect your phone to the PC, it will be necessary you disable swap prior to connect, so just go to Swapper and disables the "Active Swap or Boot" option and click "save" ready already you can connect it, and when you disconnect the phone only returned to enable the same option and press "save" and swap will be activated.

When you turn off or reboot the phone, SWAP and SetCPU is deactivated, and when to restart the phone NO SE ACTIVAN automatically, so it will be necessary to activate them manually, to activate the swap, Swapper sees disables the "Active Swap or Boot" option and click "save", becomes open Swapper and enable the same option and press "save" and swap will be activated. To activate overclock go to SetCPU and you boring the slider of "Max" up to 825 Mhz, disables the option below "Set on Boot" and ready.
* After each flashing ROM, I recommend they significance level of the battery to make not dial them an incorrect charge level or non-exact, I recommend to download from Android Market application Battery Calibration (from NĂ©Ma), connect your phone to the charger and wait for it to load completely. Open the application Battery Calibration and if mark 100% oppress the "battery calibration" button and records levels will erase and is haran new records so that the levels make accurate.
* The overclock, the maximum adjustment in SetCPU is until 845 Mhz for LG GT540, I recommend 825 Mhz.
