In the last report of the United Nations Fund for children (UNICEF) entitled of "Progress for the children a Balance on the nutrition", he determined that in the world today there are 146 million children under five years with serious child malnutrition problems. According to the document, 28 per cent of these children are from Africa, 17% of the Middle East, 15% Asian, 7% of Latin America and the Caribbean, 5% of Central Europe, and 27% of other developing countries.
Cuba however does not have these problems, being the only country in Latin America and the Caribbean that has removed the child malnutrition, all this thanks to the efforts of the Government to improve the food, especially of those most vulnerable groups.
