"The Hobbit is set in Middle-Earth, 60 years before the events narrated in the Lord of the rings, that Jackson and his film team brought to the big screen in the trilogy of success that culminated with the winner of the Oscar the Lord of the Rings: the return of the King" said part of the press release.



The two films, with scripts by Fran Walsh,
Philippa Boyens, Guillermo del Toro and Peter Jackson, are rodarán sequentially in digital 3D with the latest developments at the level cameras and stereo technology. The filming will take place at Stone Street Studios in Wellington, and in locations around New Zealand.



The Hobbit follows the journey of Bilbo Baggins, title character, who is taken to an epic adventure to recover the lost Kingdom dwarf of Erebor, which was for a long time by the dragon Smaug. Martin Freeman plays the role of the title as Bilbo Baggins, with Ian McKellen return as Gandalf the Grey. The dwarves are played by Richard Armitage (Thorin major), Ken Stott (Balin), Graham McTavish (Dwalin), William Kircher (Bifur) James Nesbitt (Bofur), Stephen Hunter (Bombur), Rob Kazinsky (Fili), Aidan Turner (Kili), Peter Hambleton (Gloin), John Callen (Oin), Jed Brophy (Nori), Mark Hadlow (Dori) and Adam Brown (Ori).



Others will be reprising their roles original of the Lord of the rings, as it is the case with Cate Blanchett as Galadriel, Andy Serkis as Gollum and Elijah Wood as Frodo. Jeffrey Thomas and Mike Mizrahi also join the cast as the Kings dwarves Thror and Thrain, respectively.



Among the people of team creative, behind the scenes will be the director of photography Andrew Lesnie, production Dan Hennah, Alan Lee and John Howe conceptual designers, designer and composer Howard Shore, while makeup and hairstyles will be responsailidad of designer Peter King. The costumes were designed by Ann Maskrey and Richard Taylor.


Taylor is also supervising the design and production of weapons, armors and prosthesis that will be in charge of the award-winning Weta Workshop. Weta Digital will deal with the Visual effects in the two films, directed by Joe Letteri Visual effects supervisor. Post-production was carried out at Park Road Post Production, Wellington.

OUR DEAR DWARVES





NORI, ORI AND DORI.

"These three brothers, all sons of the same mother, not could be more different from each other." Dori, the eldest, passing much of his time caring for Ori, the minor; make sure that it does not catch a cold, or is made kill by Huargos or Goblins. No one knows that Nori most of the time, except that it is guaranteed be someone very unreliable and probably illegal. OIN AND GLOIN

Through long years of hardship, Thorin became a strong and brave fighter and a respected leader. In his heart grew a fierce desire, a desire to recover their land and destroy the beast that had brought so much misery to his people. So when the destination offers an unusual ally, take advantage of that opportunity for revenge.



Remember that old friends return to Middle-Earth, I leave this look (ago posted enough) of the White Council planning the attack on Dol Goldur.
