System Down is an alternative metal band American of Armenian descent in Glendale, California, formed in 1995. Initially called Soil, but later adopted the name

They are famous for performing songs whose letters have against child abuse, violence, war, genocide, pornography and machismo, dominance of materialistic interests in society, social, physical and ideological inequality, intolerance or discrimination, among others.In 1994, the band (still regarded as Soil), met Shavo Odadjian who had studied in the same school with them also being of Armenian descent. At first, was going be the manager of the band, but to discover his talent decided that it was part of the band as a bassist.Had separated in 2006, but in 2011 returned join.There is a rumor that in 2012 will draw a new album
