Welcome to this new post, this time I do this little post to remind one of the bands more legendary that they have existed, a band that has transcended time and that is causing a furor in his followers, one of the best bands of in Spanish leading with honor the Argentina flag, without more detours to remember a few songs that marked history in the lives of many rockers
A bit of history
Soda Stereo was born in early 1982 with the Union by Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti. After a year of forming performed as trio his first professional show in a nightclub and begins to explore the underground of Buenos Aires circuit becoming known, along with other emerging characters (Sumo, Los Twist)
(Melero, etc.) in places like Zero, Einstein and Stud Bar.14 December ' 84 Theatre stars presents his first album, " ", produced by Federico Moura, leader of Virus. In October it acts at the Festival & Pop, with INXS, Nina Hagen, and John Mayall. The popularity of the Group spreads.
In April of ' 86, 22 thousand spectators burst four functions that serve to make their second album, "Nada Personal" at the stadium Obras Sanitarias in Buenos Aires. At the end of the ' 86 takes shape the first Latin American tour, covering Peru, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador. In February of the following year, Stereo participates as a guest star of the Festival of Viña del Mar - show 120 cases of hysteria-, and two months later breaks records of public to debut at Paraguay.
Towards the end of the ' 87 Mexico opens its doors: 36 thousand people attend the eleven concerts that the band performs across the length and breadth of the country.
Already in June of ' 88, recorded "Double life" in New York with the artistic production of Carlos Alomar, guitarist who worked with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, David Bowie and James Brown, among others.
The same Alomar travels to Buenos Aires to play at the presentation of the disc, embodied in a memorable concert outdoors before 25,000 spectators, on 3 December of that year. A few days later, the band puts a decent snap to the festival "Three days for democracy", the most massive eventuntil then, in the history of the show at the Argentina, and shakes to 150 thousand people that overflow the Avenida 9 de Julio.
In 1989, exceeds the first million sold plates and faces his fifth tour of the American continent, journey that culminates in December with two successful shows at the legendary The Palace of Los Angeles; the door to the United States remains open.
In January of ' 90s after a year-long absence from the Argentine stage, the group shares with the British duo Tears for Fears concert at Velez Sarsfield Stadium. His performance dazzles 32 thousand viewers, critics and foreign artists. Their sixth album, "Animal song", recorded in Miami in the middle of the same year and soon imposed on Puerto Rico.
In October, Stereo undertakes the most spectacular national tour to remember the history of in Argentina, carrying over two months to 30 cities in the interior of the country several tons of equipment, mobile two stages and a troupe of 70 people through a tour of 14 thousand kilometers, with a remembered presentation to 45,000 people in the stadium Velez Sarsfield.
The ' 91 find them finishing the "Animal tour" with a historic concert priced Uruguayan resort of Punta del Este. That he continued a tour to Venezuela, a promotional landing with "Animal song" in Spain and preparation for a series of concerts at the teatro Gran Rex in Buenos Aires. The first album with BMG company, was released on 29 June 1995, and only15 days of its issue in Latin America, became album Platinum; taking the group to a tour of Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Honduras, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico and U.S.A. until March 1996.
After this tour the band decides to secede, and in 1997 made a short farewell tour ending on September 20 with his last concert in the Estadio River Plate of Buenos Aires city.
