Tarkus is the second album by the progressive rock band , & . It was released in 1971.

In 1970, the debut album by the progressive rock band , & band, to he established them as well as famous, also generated doubts in the public, because they did not believe that the band had much ability for the composition of songs. These doubts were dispelled completely in the following year, 1971, with the launch of .
